Specific Injuries Experience
Sinead specialises in completing holistic care needs assessments of patients who present with palliative conditions such as cancer (breast, bowel, pancreatic, prostrate, sarcoma etc), respiratory conditions (COPD and mesothelioma) cardiovascular and neurological conditions. These conditions often result in weakness, fatigue and pain. Sinead is responsible for managing all aspects of their care, equipment and housing needs and providing support and guidance to both the client and their family.
As a result of their diagnosis a large number of Sinead’s clients present with complex mental health issues such as depression, anxiety or PTSD. Sinead supports these clients and their families to develop individualised goals and treatment plans to promote independence and develop self-management strategies.
Sinead has extensive experience of formulating care packages for those clients who are discharged directly from hospital and also for making adaptations for care packages already in situ when clients are referred from other services such as reablement teams and social services.
Her clinical experience and knowledge gives her a compassionate and empathic approach to writing Loss of Services Reports detailing the past services provided by the deceased to their dependants, as well as those they would have provided in the future.
