As at October 2020, I am engaged in the role of Senior Case Manager for Ainscough Associates Case Management Services for an average of 70 hours per month. I also work as an Occupational Therapist for an average of 30 hours per month.

Specific Injuries Experience
Simon has an extensive background working in community services and is very comfortable implementing interventions within the client’s home environment. This background has led him to have significant experience in managing complex physical disabilities including amputation and complex orthopaedic issues.
Simon currently works as a Case Manager and has a significant caseload of individuals who have suffered traumatic brain injury, often in conjunction with a range of orthopaedic injuries. He is very competent in managing the needs of those with cognitive impairment and/or behavioural issues.
Simon is particularly adept at implementing successful aids, equipment and adaptations. In his private Occupational Therapy work he supports a number of clients to regain mobility and independence with innovative equipment and housing solutions.

Simon is a highly experienced Occupational Therapist who qualified in Australia in 2002. Since then he has gained extensive experience working with clients in a variety of health and social care settings in the UK and Australia. He has worked in private practice, rehabilitation centres, local authority settings, community rehabilitation teams and hospitals. He has experience working with clients in a wide range of clinical fields including neurology, acquired brain injury, amputations and orthopaedics.
He has extensive experience in both the private and statutory sectors of providing home assessments and design of major and minor home adaptations. He has worked in specialist housing teams and is experienced in working alongside architects and surveyors. Simon also has expertise in recommending specialist equipment and assistive technology to enable his clients to remain active and independent within their homes and communities.
Simon is an Institute of Safety and Health (IOSH) qualified moving and handling trainer. He is experienced in completing moving and handling risk assessments, recommending moving and handling equipment, providing moving plans for use by carers and family members and providing on site education and training for clients’ needs. He is also able to provide individual or group moving and handling of people training.
Simon has worked in specialist rehabilitation centres and within community rehabilitation teams. He values the importance of setting client focussed goals and is skilled in the development and implementation of functional rehabilitation programmes.
He is committed to life-long learning and as such ensures he regularly maintains his skills by attending a range of training courses and conferences.
