Specific Injuries Experience
Lynne is a highly skilled case manager with extensive experience supporting adults who have sustained catastrophic and life-changing injuries. Her expertise includes working with individuals with mild to severe brain injury (both acquired and traumatic), post-concussion syndrome, cognitive impairment and challenging behaviours.
She also works with clients who have sustained spinal cord injuries and present with complex needs including bowel and bladder incontinence, pressure area management, chronic pain, nutritional difficulties, sleep apnoea, and associated psychological difficulties.
In addition, Lynne has significant experience supporting clients with complex orthopaedic injuries including polytrauma and multiple fractures. She is confident in managing these cases both in isolation and alongside neurological injury.
Lynne is experienced in developing and implementing bespoke rehabilitation and support plans and routinely co-ordinates large multi-disciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, goal-focused rehabilitation programmes. Lynne has a strong background in assessing and planning for both medical and functional needs and is well-versed in identifying, specifying and co-ordinating housing adaptations.
Lynne has substantial experience in the recruitment, induction, training and ongoing supervision of specialist support workers and therapy assistants. She regularly manages large and complex care packages and is confident in addressing employment related issues and performance management issues as they arise.
As a case manager, Lynne works with individuals at all stages of their rehabilitation journey, providing her with a detailed understanding of the evolving presentation of different injury types. This enables her to make informed, forward-thinking recommendations regarding long-term care, support and rehabilitation needs.
Employment Profile
Having achieved a first in her bachelor’s degree, Lynne has successfully built a wealth of knowledge and skills by working in a variety of NHS hospital and community settings such as critical care, district nursing, acute stroke / neurosurgery and multi-injury care. These roles provided Lynne with invaluable experience of working with patients who have complex care needs and medical requirements that need careful co-ordination and management.
Throughout her career, Lynne has developed expert knowledge in sourcing and managing large packages of care for clients who have suffered life-changing injuries. In 2019, she moved into brain injury case management and has continued to support and manage clients with complex healthcare needs. Lynne works closely with the individual and their family to ensure those needs are comprehensively met to ensure a client centred outcome.
She has substantial experience in performing comprehensive environmental assessments of an injured client – observing and identifying any significant care and rehabilitation support needs. With a keen eye for detail, Lynne regularly utilises her excellent assessment and reporting skills to complete Immediate Needs Assessments, case management reports and update reports. She has a good working knowledge of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, best interest decision making and safeguarding investigation.
With a caseload of both settled and unsettled cases, Lynne has a good understanding when it comes to the civil and criminal litigation processes.
Lynne attends regular CPD training events and being an advanced member of BABICM keeps her up-to-date with clinical practices and industry developments. Lynne attended the Bond Solon Courtroom Skills Familiarisation in 2025.
