Employment Profile
Louise is an experienced Case Manager and Registered Adult Nurse with over 20 years’ experience supporting individuals with complex health and care needs. Since 2018, she has specialised in case management for adults with acquired and traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy and other complex neurological conditions, providing comprehensive case management throughout the litigation process, both pre- and post-settlement.
Her clinical and case management experience has given her specialist expertise in assessing present and future care needs, designing, implementing and reviewing complex care packages, coordinating multidisciplinary rehabilitation, managing risk and safeguarding issues. This provides a strong foundation for delivering balanced, evidence-based opinions on care, case management, therapy, equipment and accommodation requirements.
Louise works closely with litigation solicitors, Court of Protection Deputies, treating clinicians, clients and their families to ensure care provision is appropriate, proportionate and responsive to each individual’s needs. She assesses equipment and environmental requirements alongside Occupational Therapists and other members of the multidisciplinary team, and makes recommendations relating to moving and handling, specialist equipment, wheelchair-accessible vehicles, and property adaptations that promote safety, independence, and effective care delivery.
Her work includes supporting individuals with complex cognitive, behavioural and physical impairments, including impulsivity, reduced insight, challenging behaviours and communication difficulties.
Louise’s previous senior leadership roles within complex care services included responsibility for assessing care needs, developing and reviewing care plans, recruiting and supervising staff, delivering clinical supervision and liaising with commissioning teams. This experience continues to inform her balanced and pragmatic approach to assessing care and equipment provision.
She is committed to maintaining the highest professional standards and regularly undertakes continuous professional development (CPD). She attends specialist training, conferences and professional forums to ensure her knowledge remains current and that her opinions reflect the latest evidence, guidance and best practice.
