Specific Injuries Experience
Joyce is a highly experienced Case Manager who has worked extensively with adults and children with brain injury and other neurological impairments, including birth injuries. She is particularly adept in supporting and managing clients with challenging behaviours.
Joyce has a high level of clinical experience in managing clients who have Cerebral Palsy, both adults and children. Her focus with these clients is typically on function and mobility and she is confident in resourcing appropriate aids and equipment for them.
Joyce has significant experience working with clients with Brachial Plexus injuries and spinal injuries, including fractures. Many of her clients often have significant complex orthopaedic injuries, and Joyce is very competent in addressing these issues.
Joyce is competent in supporting those with mental health issues relating to their injuries and has had regular experience in supporting clients with pain and visual loss following traumatic injury.

Throughout her career as an Occupational Therapist and Case Manager, Joyce has developed a significant level of experience in managing clients with complex and life changing brain injuries. Joyce has worked with clients with acquired brain injury and complex orthopaedic conditions, many with very challenging behaviours, for over 10 years in both inpatient and Case Management settings. She has also case managed children with Cerebral Palsy. Joyce is adept in managing conflicts in challenging family situations and has a style which puts clients at ease. She is experienced in managing complex 24-hour care packages with team leaders, and co-ordinating multi-disciplinary teams to provide focused rehabilitation packages. She is also aware of the benefits of specific and qualified care support from specialist agencies. Joyce has supported clients to purchase suitable properties and she has been integral in recommending major adaptations, to allow clients to remain at home.
