Specific Injuries Experience
Alongside her Expert Witness work, Christine spends a significant part of her week as a Case Manager and treating Occupational Therapist. She establishes, manages, and reviews rehabilitation programmes for a varied caseload of clients, many of whom are pursuing legal claims that have not yet reached settlement. As part of this role, she supports clients throughout the litigation process.
Christine works with clients who have sustained multi trauma injuries including hand, upper and lower limb trauma, amputations, spinal fractures, burns and skin injuries. Most of her clients have pain and psychological problems as a result of their injuries and Christine also supports clients with these and other associated complications such as bladder and bowel issues.
Christine manages and supervises small care packages delivered by agency or directly employed carers. She arranges and monitors both psychological and physical rehabilitation, supports the planning and implementation of housing adaptations, and helps clients identify suitable alternative accommodation where needed.
As an independent Occupational Therapist for private clients, Christine provides and monitors upper limb treatment programmes, carries out housing and equipment assessments, and supports return-to-work planning.
Employment Profile
Christine is an experienced Occupational Therapist who qualified in 1998. She joined Jacqueline Webb & Co as an Expert Witness in 2014.
Christine has worked in major trauma units, delivering acute occupational therapy and hand therapy for patients with upper and lower limb injuries, multi-trauma injuries, and amputations. She continues to provide private occupational therapy assessments and interventions, in rehabilitation facilities and clients’ homes, developing therapy programmes and recommending equipment and adaptations to help clients achieve their optimal level of function.
As a Case Manager, Christine is registered with Institute of Registered Case Managers and works with clients who have upper and lower limb injuries, multi-trauma and musculoskeletal injuries, and amputations. She manages and monitors their rehabilitation needs from the acute stage through to settlement and beyond. She also manages rehabilitation funds and liaises with solicitors and insurers, providing clear written communication to support legal claims.
Christine is known for building rapport with clients, carers, and health professionals, and for taking a person-centred approach that considers physical, psychological, social, and environmental needs. She uses evidence-based practice to help individuals live as independently as they choose.
Christine has developed extensive expertise in burns treatment and hand therapy, working with a wide range of patients. She analyses functional activity to provide expert opinion and practical recommendations for rehabilitation and compensatory strategies. She is a member of BAHT (British Association of Hand Therapists).
