Specific Injuries Experience
Katie is a Case Manager, Independent Occupational Therapist and experienced Community Practitioner. She has extensive experience in managing clients’ ongoing and long-term needs in the community. Her work is particularly focused on enabling injured individuals through care and equipment support.
Katie has a broad skill set having based the foundation of her experience in community services and mental health services. She has a high level of experience in managing trauma injury resulting in orthopaedic fractures and lower limb amputations. Many of her clients also display symptoms of mild traumatic brain injury and mental health issues and she has further experience working with these clients as a Case Manager.
Katie is also responsible for predicting the ongoing care and equipment needs of the injured party; both in her current independent roles and in her prior community posts. This includes packages for those who have a life limiting illness, neurological condition, or palliative diagnosis.

She has significant experience in setting up and monitoring rehabilitation goals with clients, their families and support workers. She is confident in undertaking in-depth assessments and developing bespoke rehabilitation plans and care packages.
Katie also has care management experience and has recruited, trained and supervised support workers on behalf of clients. As an independent practitioner she works directly with clients to support them in maximising independence and achieving their goals.
