Specific Injuries Experience
Christina is a highly accomplished Case Manager with a strong background as a Registered General Nurse and Health Visitor. Since becoming a Case Manager in 2016, she has specialised in supporting clients (adults and children age 11 years plus) with traumatic and acquired brain injuries and cerebral palsy.
Her expertise extends to addressing co-existing conditions such as cognitive impairment, challenging behaviours, lack of insight, mental health needs, pain management issues, orthopaedic injuries (eg fractures), learning difficulties (eg autism spectrum disorder, ADHD) and hearing loss.
Christina also has experience supporting individuals following stroke across inpatient rehabilitation wards and community-based settings, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families and external agencies. As a Case Manager, she is experienced overseeing complex care and clients’ rehabilitation, ensuring effective discharge planning, continuity of support, goal-focused interventions and risk management to maximise independence, recovery and person-centred care and support.
As a former CQC-registered manager, Christina is skilled in establishing, overseeing and quality-assuring a wide range of care packages – from rehabilitation support workers to 24/7 complex double-handed care teams.
Christina’s work spans a broad age range, and she has supported many young clients through their transition into adulthood. This experience enables her to tailor interventions to meet her clients’ evolving needs throughout their lives.
Employment Profile
As a Case Manager, Christina has significant experience in pre- and post-settlement cases. She conducts comprehensive initial needs assessments and delivers clear, evidence-based recommendations and progress reports. Her holistic, proactive approach enables her to manage highly sensitive situations effectively. She supports clients and their families through significant life changes, while empowering them to regain independence and rebuild meaningful routines.
Christina has a proven track record in leading complex multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-quality, outcome-focused rehabilitation. She excels at integrating statutory, independent and charitable services to develop coordinated care and support plans that are efficient and aligned with her clients’ long-term goals.
She ensures client’s home environments are adapted to meet therapy and care needs, facilitating the provision of aids, equipment and property modifications to maximise functional independence and minimise environmental risks.
A Registered General Nurse (Adults) since 2012, and a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) since 2014, Christina brings clinical experience across health, social care, education and voluntary sector services. This breadth of experience gives her a thorough understanding of navigating both statutory and independent services.
