Current experience/role
Independent OT practitioner with a wide range of recent experience of treating:
- Patients with a variety of physical conditions including learning disability, head injury, neurological conditions, spinal injury, amputees, complex orthopaedic cases, spinal surgery and joint replacement including those who have had complications from MRSA infection.
- Older persons who have undergone orthopaedic procedures or suffered trauma.
- Patients with mental health issues as well as physical disabilities.
- Moving and handling training.

- Making thorough assessments of client’s needs and enabling them to return to maximum independence.
- Working within NHS, Social Services and private settings and working in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Sound knowledge of a wide range of equipment and services including housing adaptations. Experience of working alongside architects.
- Working as a care co-ordinator/case manager.
Personal experience of setting up and monitoring a care package for a close relative and personal ongoing experience of a chronic and painful medical condition.

Since July 2006 Working on a consultancy basis with Jacqueline Webb & Co Ltd and independent practice OT work, case management and initial needs assessments and moving and handling training.
2000-2008 Independent OT primarily for the BMI group of hospitals.
1988-1998 Community OT, Worcestershire Community Health Trust.
1981-1988 Positions at: Elderly Care Ward, NHS stroke unit, Social Services community, acute psychiatric hospital.
Special interests/expertise
Inclusive Design Adviser for the civic trust scheme; French speaker; qualification in homoeopathy; qualified as moving and handling trainer; completed university module in continence care (2009/2010). Member of the National Back Exchange.
